My Biography

Education is my passion, both as an educator and as a student.

My career has taken many turns throughout my life. My path has taken me from working as support staff at the University of Alberta Library's cataloguing department, to teaching technology classes to adult students in colleges in Edmonton and in Lac La Biche, to teaching technology and math classes to grade 5-12 students in Aspen View Public School Division, to being a principal of a K-4 school in Aspen View, to being a Technology Integration Coordinator, to being in my current position of Director of Innovation of Aspen View Public Schools. I serve on the executive as the Technology Director of the Northeast Teachers' Convention and am the Programming Chair for the Alberta Rural Futures Symposium.

In my personal life, I have two grown sons aged 25 and 27 and am looking forward to becoming a Grandma of two grandbabies this summer as each son becomes a father in July and August. I am engaged to a brilliant man and together we like to spend our free time taking part in our local Toastmasters club and travelling. Our next planned adventure will be to visit New York City in the spring.
