Dr. Joseph Allen Ed.D., PMP

My Biography

Dr. Joseph Allen is currently the Director of Community College Pathways at the National University System. He has supported Student Success in Higher Education since 2006. Focusing on workforce development based on industry needs, Dr. Allen works strategically to develop and support clear transfer pathways for CC students and CC employee wishing to continue and complete their educational goals.

His experience in Higher Education includes leading residential life and housing, online student affairs, online career services, online student conduct, online behavior intervention teams, online student leadership, online peer mentoring, and most recently workforce education solutions.

Dr. Allen holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in Parks and Recreation Management as well as a Master of Arts in Post-Secondary Education Leadership and an Ed.D in Community College Leadership from San Diego State University.

Dr. Allen currently volunteers as the Secretary and Membership Coordinator for the SDSU CCLEAD Alumni Group, an Advisory Board Member of the National Behavior Intervention Team Association, Treasurer of the San Diego Education Consortium, Member of the Board of Advisors at the Toby Wells YMCA, and is a student Mentor for the SDSU Aztec Mentoring Program. Living in San Diego he enjoys teaching his daughters and their friends to surf in the beautiful pacific ocean.
