My Biography

Pellas Nikolaos is a Ph.D. Candidate (3rd year) from the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, in Greece. He holds a Master degree in Education. His thesis was about the utilization of 3-D virtual worlds in e-Education, in which he proposed an organizational-cybernetic framework. His research interests include the use of 3-D open-source virtual worlds as “Metaverse” skins in contemporary instructional formats (blended or online) for collaborative learning tasks. Also, the utilization of CoI model as a theoretical instructional framework for various learning courses held in 3-D multi-user virtual worlds. He has published 33 articles in peer-reviewed Journals, International and National Conferences and book chapters for the domain of instructional design via 3-D multi-user virtual worlds.
